Goring – Housing Development

specifying bricks and tiles to suit a development of ten bespoke homes

All Brick and Stone were appointed by the client to assist with selecting a brick type for the main facade on a new development in Goring, consisting of ten bespoke properties.

Careful consideration was imperative to ensure the brick type blended in with the local area in order for the development to gain approval from local planners.

A number of site visits were made to the area to consult on the brick types that had previously been used on property local to this site. Upon inspection, samples of products available within the required budget were submitted. A selection was then made and subsequently submitted to planning authorities. Two subtly different blends of the same brick were eventually approved. After a further site inspection, we were also asked to source and supply a feature brick in which we produced prefabricated brick arches and prefabricated chimneys. Finally, we were instrumental in the design and supply of reconstituted stone cills for this unique development.

The result is a development that fits in naturally with the surrounding area of Goring – a wonderful addition to a quintessentially English village.
